Copperhead Snake

We're hearing numerous reports of snake bites in the N Texas area this spring. Some say this is due to the excessive amount of rain - snakes are moving to higher ground. Copperheads, a venomous pit viper, are especially active and have been most noted in these recent reports. Remember, Copperheads camouflage very well in leaves and grass. Even Copperhead Snake in Grass Outlinedoutlined, (in the second picture), the snake is hard to see.
