North Texas New Homes Selling At A 41 Percent Premium Over Resale Homes
The Dallas-Fort Worth market area is leading the nation in new home construction in 2016. The growth and strength of conditions is expected to continue in 2017, as North Texas draws more and more attention from corporations moving their headquarters to the area.
But this growth is not without its frustrations, home buyers are seeing new homes prices at all-time high with no relief in sight. Interest rates, while still low today, are expected to rise early next year. However, the new construction pricing could be beneficial for sellers, as the gap widens between buying a new home or a resale home.
